What is TECC?
The Edinburgh Counselling Centre was established in 1988 as a Centre for Psychodynamic Counselling. TECC offers counselling to individuals, couples and groups facing issues of a personal or professional nature.
We offer a safe and supportive place where difficulties can be
discussed and tackled in confidence.
Who works at TECC?
All our practitioners are qualified and experienced counsellors
and have previous experience of different professional backgrounds.
All are individually accredited by either The British Association
for Counselling and Psychotherapy or COSCA which is the Professional
Body for Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland.
At TECC we firmly believe in the need for accreditation as
a benchmark of professional practice and we are proud to be
the first counselling organisation in Scotland staffed entirely
by accredited practitioners.
Who uses TECC?
Referrals come in a number of ways. We receive referrals
from individuals, from GP Practices and Higher Education bodies,
with whom we enjoy a well-established reputation.
Clients are also referred by other health professionals
and from friends or colleagues who have been helped by our
service.
